FREDDY LOND is an Estonian writer & director who moved to Belgium in his teens. This change had an impact on his creativity. It contributed to the cultural duality that can be seen in his work; he loves the underdog. Character driven stories are his strength as is illustrated in Jaan’s Day, Medicine Men & Happy Days. He combines dry humor in heated situations which makes the viewers question whether they should laugh or cry.
Freddy founded Londfilms while writing Medicine Men The Series with Nicolas Dillen & Marwan Morowa. He works together with Heldur Maripuu, a talented composer, who adds flair to his films. Freddy completed a bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Technology from the LUCA School of Arts and studied Film Studies & Visual Culture at the University of Antwerp.
